Videos on Lynda.com are organized in Courses.  You have the option to share either full courses or individual videos by adding them to a playlist.

You can then make the playlist public and include a link in D2L or any other service.

Your students will need to have:

  1. Their own Lynda.com accounts.  The Library can help your students set those up. The student accounts need to be setup by the students on campus.  Once the accounts are set up, the students can use Lynda off campus.
  2. The public link to the playlist.

To create a playlist, just go to Lynda.com while signed into your account.  Place your mouse over the course/video you want.  Select the plus sign (+) that appears to add content to an existing playlist or to create a new one.

To add an individual video from a course, select it in the content panel on the left side of the screen.

In the top right corner select "Add to Playlist." Select the playlist and then choose the "Video Only" option.

You can edit your playlists and make them public from the playlist page.  Select "Share" to find the URL link.

Please contact the Library if you'd like help or to set up a workshop.

Additional CSS to remove default "Type a question" bar from this page only

Javascript to change title tag in <head> - otherwise the display name in browser tab will show <a href> link code because <title> is set by default to the h1 header, which we are manually linking back to root. This is not a user-modifiable setting in LibAnswers so we have to change it after the fact. The <head> tag loads before this javascript so it's set to run immediately rather than waiting for page to load. Change occurs basically instantaneously - users won't notice.
